Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a technique focused on getting into the deeper layers of muscle tissue to release chronic tension and adhesions in the muscle fibres. Over time, poor posture, stress and repetitive strains can cause muscle fibres to become “stuck” so they no longer slide easily to allow the muscles to contact. These adhesions can form scar tissue if left untreated, creating tight, painful spots that feel lumpy to touch.

Deep tissue massage helps to break down scar tissue and improve blood flow to the muscle, promoting healing. If you spend long hours driving or sitting at a desk, or you find that a normal “relaxation” massage doesn’t really get to the root of the problem, deep tissue massage is for you!
